SHORT ANSWER
What is Clouted and how does it pay clippers?
Clouted is a Los Angeles and Manila distribution company (Clout Kitchen Holdings Inc.) that runs clipping campaigns for music, entertainment, gaming and consumer brands. Clippers sign up free at app.clouted.com, pick a campaign, edit 30 to 90 second clips from the brief, and get paid weekly or bi-weekly by PayPal, GCash or direct deposit. Clouted does not publish its rate per 1,000 views, minimum payout or fees on its public pages, so you see the terms only inside each campaign. As of September 2026 it says it has more than 100,000 creators in its network.
Clouted at a glance
- Posted rates

- Clouted does not publish a rate per 1,000 views on makeclout.com or clouted.com. Its clipper page gives only a monthly earnings claim ($1,000 to $5,000 for 10 to 15 hours a week), which is Clouted's own marketing figure and not a rate. Check the rate in each campaign before you clip.

What Clouted is
Clouted sells distribution to brands. It calls its product a Virality Engine: AI agents plan campaigns, and a network of freelance creators cuts and posts the clips. Its services include clipping, UGC, fan pages, influencer seeding and paid amplification, according to clouted.com.
For brands, Clouted says it has content live within 24 to 48 hours of a brief, and that it has generated more than 1 billion views since October 2025 on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X, according to its clipping page. These are company figures.
For clippers, the entry point is a separate site, makeclout.com, titled the Clouted Clipping Program. It sends you to app.clouted.com to sign up.
Who is behind Clouted
Clouted is the trading name of Clout Kitchen Holdings Inc., per the footer of clouted.com. CEO Justin Banusing first built the system to promote &Friends, a Manila music festival he co-founded, TechCrunch reported on May 20, 2026.
On May 20, 2026, Clouted announced a $7M seed round led by Slow Ventures (Clouted announcement). In August 2026 Clouted said Forbes Asia had named it to its 100 to Watch list, and that it works from offices in Manila and Los Angeles (Clouted blog). Named clients include the music label Liquid State (for the artist Illenium) and Corgi Insurance.
What Clouted publishes and what it does not
Clouted is better documented as a company than as a clipper program. Before you invest hours, know which facts you can check in advance and which you only see after you sign up.

GCash is a Philippine e-wallet. Its presence fits Clouted's Manila base and suggests the network recruits heavily in the Philippines. That is an inference from the payout list, not a stated policy.
What clippers report
Public clipper feedback is thin. As of September 28, 2026, the Trustpilot page for makeclout.com shows two reviews, both one star (Trustpilot). One reviewer reports submitting about 70 clips to a Discord-run Clouted campaign without payment or feedback, and describes unclear campaign rules and slow staff replies. Two reviews are too few to show a pattern, but they point to the same gap as the public pages: the rules live inside Discord and the app, not on the website.
To protect yourself, screenshot each campaign's rules and rate when you join. Keep a log of every submission link and date. Submit a few clips and wait for the first payout before you scale up.
Worked example (assumptions labeled)
Clouted does not publish rates, so this example uses an assumed rate to show how to check a campaign. Assume a campaign pays $1 per 1,000 views with a 10,000-view minimum per clip. You post 20 clips in two weeks. Five clips pass 10,000 views and reach 150,000 views in total. The other 15 stay under the minimum.
Under those assumptions you earn $150 for the five qualifying clips and nothing for the other 15. That is $7.50 per clip on average, not $1 per 1,000 views on everything you posted. Always ask whether a campaign has a per-clip minimum before you batch-produce clips for it.
Pros and cons
Strengths
- Funded company with named investors and press coverage (TechCrunch, May 2026)
- Brand clients in music, entertainment and gaming, which means real campaign budgets
- No portfolio or experience required
- Weekly or bi-weekly payouts, with GCash for clippers in the Philippines
Drawbacks
- No public rate per 1,000 views, minimum payout, cap or fee schedule
- Campaign rules sit in Discord and the app, not on a public page
- Only two public Trustpilot reviews as of September 2026, both negative
- Earnings claims ($1,000 to $5,000 a month) are Clouted's own figures
- Best for
- Clippers who want brand and music campaigns from a funded company and are comfortable working through Discord.
- Not ideal for
- Clippers who need published rates, caps and fees before they start work.
