Clipster campaigns: what they pay and what your clips need
We read every live public campaign on Clipster’s Discover page — 88 of them — plus its content rules and creator terms. Here is what each campaign pays, what it asks for, what gets a clip rejected, and how to protect what you earn.

How Clipster works
Clipster is a marketplace between brands and short-form creators. Brands, artists and streamers fund a campaign with a budget and a rate per view. Clippers post videos to their own accounts and get paid for verified views that the brand approves.
- Set up your payout account first. Under the creator terms, fees earned before you add one are held for 30 days, then forfeited.
- Connect the account you will post from, and give it a clear niche. Campaigns check that your account fits theirs, and some need a follower minimum.
- Pick a campaign. Each one lists its rate, accepted platforms, budget used and rules. 23% of clipping campaigns make you apply first.
- Read the brief and get the footage. Most briefs link a Google Doc, a Drive or frame.io folder, or a Discord server with the clips, watermark and examples.
- Make and post the clip on your own TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X account. Keep the stats public.
- Submit the post link in the Clipster app or website while the campaign still has budget.
- Get paid for approved views. Views count once the clip passes the campaign’s minimum and engagement bar; the brand approves the content; Clipster pays the fees to your payout account (creator terms, section 3).

What Clipster campaigns pay
Clipster shows rates per 1M views. A rate of $1,000 per 1M is $1 per 1,000 views. Rates by campaign type:
| Type | Live campaigns | Rate per 1M views (low – median – high) | What you make |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clipping | 22 | $100 – $1,000 – $4,000 | Cut moments from a streamer, podcast, show or event. Usually from footage the campaign provides. |
| Music | 49 | $130 – $1,000 – $2,500 | Post an edit that plays the campaign’s song through the platform’s sound. |
| Logo | 15 | $50 – $150 – $1,000 | Add the brand’s logo file to your own niche content, such as CS2, sports or memes. |
| UGC | 2 | $750 – $1,125 – $1,500 | Make an original video that presents a product or app, following a brief. |
The rate is only part of the deal. Four limits decide what a clip actually earns:
- Minimum views. A clip earns nothing until it passes the campaign’s threshold: 1,000 to 7,500 views, median 2,000.
- Per-post cap. The median clipping campaign stops paying one clip at $675. Half of clipping campaigns reach their cap by 800,000 views; a clip that goes further earns nothing more, so a second good clip beats one viral clip.
- Per-creator cap. The median clipping campaign pays one creator at most $1,750 over the whole campaign (range $750–$10,000). After that, spread your clips across campaigns.
- Engagement. Each campaign sets a minimum engagement rate for views to count: 0.2% to 6%, median 3%. Clipster tracks likes, comments, shares and saves per post.
Example: a clip with 50,000 approved views on a $1,000 campaign earns $50. A clip that stops below the view minimum earns nothing. A brand that buys a Boost Code (such as a TikTok Spark code) for your post pays you a separate boost fee, outside the campaign’s caps.

Budgets, timing and rule changes
Views only pay while a campaign has budget. Late clips compete for what is left.
- Budget used. The median campaign had used 27.5% of its budget. 43 campaigns had used under 25%; 18 had used 75% or more.
- Read the bar with care. Clipster’s web app shows any campaign between 69% and 83% used as 69%. 8 campaigns were in that range on September 25, 2026. Our table shows the exact figure.
- Rules change mid-campaign. 14 campaigns changed their requirements in the 7 days before our snapshot, and 8 changed their rate. Reread the brief before each post, not only when you join.
- Submission limits. Campaigns cap submissions per social account (median 50); 20 also cap them per day (median 45).
- Posts outlive the campaign. A post must stay live for 30 days after the campaign ends, so plan your account’s feed around it.
What clipping campaigns ask for
Across the 22 live clipping campaigns:
- 82% name the footage. They link a content folder, asset drive or Discord channel. Clips from anything else are usually rejected.
- 50% need a watermark or logo, such as the streamer’s handle or a sponsor logo, on every clip.
- 50% ask for your own edit: on-screen captions, your own text, or “meaningful edits” rather than a raw cut.
- 6–10 second minimums. 12 campaigns set a minimum length, and 4 cap clips at 60 seconds.
- 32% explicitly ban reuploads and clips taken from other clippers’ accounts.
- 36% are built on live streams, clipped from a Twitch or Kick stream or its content folder.
- Platform mix. 91% accept Instagram, 77% TikTok, 59% YouTube and 14% X.
Music campaigns work differently: 100% of them require the campaign’s sound on the post, which you add inside TikTok or Instagram. Logo campaigns supply the logo file, and Clipster’s rules require a 1080×1920 template with the logo already placed. You may not move, resize or recolor it.
Clipster sorts campaigns and accounts into niches: Sports, Fitness, Combat Sports, Gaming, Streamer, Movies and TV, Anime and Manga, Gambling, Music, Motivation, Riddles, Memes, Lifestyle, Other. Build each posting account around one of them. A clip on an off-niche account is a common reason for rejection, even when the clip itself is good.
Rules that get clips rejected
Clipster’s general campaign rules apply to every campaign. Breaking them can lead to a rejected submission or a ban from all campaigns.
- No boosted views. No view bots, paid ads, engagement groups, retweeting or quote-posting your own post on X, or shoutouts from unrelated accounts.
- Keep posts up. Posts must stay live for at least 30 days after the campaign ends.
- Keep stats public. Hidden likes or view counts disqualify a submission.
- Post in the niche. The account must match the campaign’s niche, and captions and hashtags must match the post.
- One clip, one campaign. Each post must be unique and made for that campaign.
- Meet the engagement bar. The rules name 0.2% as the platform-wide minimum and up to 3% on higher-paying campaigns; in our snapshot some asked for 6%.
- Check excluded audiences. The rules exclude some niches, languages and audience regions, and individual campaigns add their own.
Protect your earnings
The most common complaint about Clipster is a clip rejected for suspected fake views close to payout. You cannot control the review, but you can make a genuine clip easy to defend. Our recommendations, beyond Clipster’s rules:
- Keep evidence. Screenshot each post’s analytics when you submit and again when the campaign ends: views, traffic sources, audience countries, watch time. If a clip is flagged, you can show where the views came from.
- Grow only through the platform. No link sharing in groups, no promo accounts, no giveaways that ask for likes. Organic distribution is the only kind the rules accept.
- Match the audience the campaign wants. Views from an excluded region or language can sink a clip. Check audience countries before you submit.
- Do not touch a submitted post. Do not delete, archive, re-upload or hide its stats until 30 days after the campaign ends.
- Keep one account per niche. Mixed feeds make a clip look out of place and raise the rejection risk.
- Spread across campaigns. Per-post and per-creator caps limit what one campaign can pay, and one rejection hurts less.

Making Clipster clips with FastClip
FastClip suits campaigns built on people talking: podcasts, interviews, commentary and IRL streams where the words carry the clip. See our podcast clipping guide for how to pick moments that hold viewers. The fastest route from a long video to a captioned cut:
1. Bring in the campaign footage
Paste a YouTube or X link, or download the file from the campaign’s folder and upload it (up to 5 GB). Keep it in your library and cut as many clips from it as you need.
2. Find the moment
Set the start and end on the timeline, to the fraction of a second. For YouTube sources, select words in the transcript instead of scrubbing. Start a few words early so the clip makes sense on its own.
3. Add captions
FastClip transcribes the clip in the language spoken and burns in word-timed captions. That covers briefs that ask for on-screen captions.
4. Post, then submit
Publish straight to Instagram Reels or X, or download the MP4 for TikTok and YouTube. Then submit the post link on Clipster.
What FastClip does not do yet
- Import Twitch, Kick, Google Drive or frame.io links. Download the file and upload it instead.
- Crop a landscape video to full-screen 9:16, or stack a facecam over gameplay. The vertical export places the video in a titled 9:16 frame, which suits podcast clips more than gameplay.
- Add a watermark or logo file. Add it in a second editor when the brief requires one.
- Add a song for music campaigns, or post directly to TikTok or YouTube.
The free plan covers a trial, not a clipping business: 3 YouTube or upload imports, 3 X imports and 5 finished clips in total, at most 2 a day. Email us if you clip at volume.
Clipster questions
Is Clipster legit?
Clipster is a real, operating marketplace. Its iPhone app is published by Saikyo, LLC and had a 4.5 rating from 80 US App Store ratings when we checked. On September 25, 2026, its public list had 88 funded campaigns with posted budgets totalling $368,450. Those are maximum budgets, not payouts. Trustpilot reviews are split: 63% five-star and 28% one-star out of 124. Most negative reviews describe clips rejected for suspected fake views near payout time. Trustpilot also hides Clipster’s TrustScore, citing a breach of its guidelines. We have not verified payouts ourselves.
How much does Clipster pay per view?
It depends on the campaign. Clipping campaigns in our snapshot paid $100 to $4,000 per 1M views, with a median of $1,000 ($1 per 1,000 views). Most campaigns pay nothing until a clip passes a minimum view count, and they cap what one post and one creator can earn.
What does “$1,000 per 1M views” mean?
It is the same as $1 per 1,000 views. A clip with 100,000 approved views earns $100 at that rate, if it clears the campaign’s view minimum and stays under its per-post cap. Clipster shows rates per 1M views; other platforms often show them per 1,000.
How do I get paid on Clipster?
Under Clipster’s creator terms, you earn fees only once the brand approves your content, at the brand’s sole discretion. Fees go to the payout account you set in the app, such as PayPal. Set it up before you post: fees earned before you add an account are held for 30 days, and are forfeited if you still have none by then. You are responsible for your own taxes.
Why was my Clipster clip rejected?
The common causes in the rules: views that look boosted (bots, ads, engagement groups, reposting your own post), hidden like or view counts, a post taken down or changed, an account outside the campaign’s niche, footage from outside the campaign’s folder, a missing watermark or logo, a clip shorter than the minimum, too little engagement, or content aimed at an excluded audience or region.
How many clips can I submit to one campaign?
Each campaign sets a limit per social account. In our snapshot the median was 50 submissions per account over the campaign. 20 campaigns also set a daily limit, typically 45 per day.
What is a Boost Code on Clipster?
A Boost Code is an ad authorization code, such as a TikTok Spark code, that lets a brand run your post as a paid ad. Clipster’s creator terms say each Boost Code a brand buys credits you a boost fee, on top of campaign fees and outside the campaign’s earnings limits.
Do I need followers to join Clipster campaigns?
Most campaigns have no follower minimum. In our snapshot, 15 of 88 campaigns required at least 100 followers, and 7 required at least 1,000. Many require an account that already posts in the campaign’s niche.
Which platforms does Clipster pay for?
Each campaign lists its own platforms. Of the 88 live campaigns, 93% accepted TikTok, 43% Instagram, 31% YouTube and 5% X.
Can I use an AI clipping tool for Clipster campaigns?
Clipster’s rules judge the clip, not the tool. A clip must be original, follow the campaign brief, and meet its quality bar. Several campaigns explicitly ask for self-edited clips and ban reuploading or downloading other clippers’ clips. Choose the moment and write the on-screen text yourself.
Is FastClip part of Clipster?
No. FastClip is an independent clip editor. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Clipster. This guide is based on Clipster’s public pages and campaign list.
How we collected the data
On September 25, 2026 we read every active campaign in the public list behind clipster.gg/discover, the same list a signed-out visitor sees, plus each campaign’s public detail. Discord-exclusive campaigns are not in it. Rates are the posted maximum per platform; caps and budgets are posted maximums, not amounts paid. Budget used follows Clipster’s own formula: earnings counted against the campaign divided by its budget. Requirement shares and table notes come from each campaign’s written guidelines, so a rule stated only in a linked brief is not counted. Payout terms are from Clipster’s creator terms; ratings are from the US App Store and Trustpilot on the same day. Percentages are rounded. Found an error? Tell us.
