YOUTUBE TO TIKTOK

Turn a YouTube video into a TikTok clip, free and without a watermark

Paste a long video’s link. FastClip opens on its best moment, crops it to vertical 9:16 while following faces, and burns in captions. Download it and upload it to TikTok.

You pick the moment; FastClip adds the captions.

Free, no credit card, no watermark. Works in mobile and desktop browsers.

How to convert a YouTube video to a TikTok clip

  1. 1. Paste the YouTube link

Any public video, stream replay or podcast episode. You do not download it first; FastClip imports it.

  2. 2. Pick the moment

FastClip opens on the part viewers replay most and lists other suggested moments. Set the start and end on the timeline, or select the words in the transcript.

  3. 3. Make it vertical

Turn on the full-screen 9:16 crop. It can follow faces automatically, and you can move the frame with keyframes where the speaker changes.

  4. 4. Add captions and download

Word-timed captions are burned in, in the language spoken. Download the MP4 and upload it in the TikTok app or on TikTok.com.

TikTok’s rules that decide whether the clip is seen and paid

From TikTok Creator Academy, read on October 2, 2026: Understanding TikTok’s Originality Policy (last updated September 26, 2026) and Creator Rewards Program.

  • Unoriginal content can leave the For You feed. TikTok counts as unoriginal: content copied completely from others, content “largely repurposed from another source without adding any creative edits”, content combined from several sources with little added value, and content with someone else’s visible watermark or logo. It says such content “may be removed from the For You feed”.
  • Rewards need an original video over one minute. The Creator Rewards Program pays for “original, high-quality content over 1 minute long” with at least 1,000 For You views. Duets, Stitches and Photo Mode posts do not qualify.
  • The account must qualify too. At least 18 years old, 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, a personal account, in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico or Brazil.
  • Length and format are generous. Uploads on TikTok.com can run up to 60 minutes, vertical or landscape, and TikTok asks for 1080p or higher for rewarded videos.

In practice: a raw cut of someone else’s video is the case TikTok calls unoriginal. Make it yours: choose the moment, crop it to the speaker, add captions, add your own text or commentary, and keep other apps’ logos off it. If you want rewards, cut a complete thought that runs past one minute.

Which part of the video to use

Start with what viewers already rewatch: the YouTube Most Replayed tool shows the peaks of any video for free. Then start the clip at the first sentence of that thought and end where it lands. Questions

Is this YouTube to TikTok converter free?

Yes. FastClip is free with no credit card and no watermark: 100 finished clips and 50 YouTube imports in total.

Can I post the clip to TikTok from FastClip?

Not directly. Download the MP4 and upload it in the TikTok app or on TikTok.com. FastClip posts directly to Instagram Reels and X.

Will TikTok show a clip of someone else’s YouTube video?

TikTok says unoriginal content may be removed from the For You feed, and it counts content “largely repurposed from another source without adding any creative edits” as unoriginal. Choose the moment yourself, crop it, caption it and add your own text or commentary. Clip only videos you own or are allowed to use.

How long should a TikTok clip be?

For reach, as long as the thought needs. For TikTok’s Creator Rewards Program, the video must be original and over one minute long.

What format does TikTok want?

TikTok accepts vertical and landscape videos and recommends 1080p or higher for rewards. FastClip’s full-screen crop exports vertical 1080 × 1920.

Why does my clip have another app’s logo on it?

It should not. TikTok lists content with someone else’s visible watermark or superimposed logo as unoriginal. FastClip adds no watermark, and you should not upload a clip that was downloaded from another platform with its logo on it.
