What it is
Hormozi-style captions show a few large uppercase words in the middle of the lower part of the frame. The word being spoken turns yellow and grows a little, so the eye follows the voice. In FastClip this look is the Bold pop preset.
Use it for
- Hooks: the first seconds of a Short, Reel or TikTok
- Advice, business and motivation clips with a fast speaker
- Clips watched without sound, where the words carry the clip

Make this clip from your own podcast in 3 steps
1. Paste a link or upload the file
Paste a YouTube or X link or a Google Drive link to the episode, or upload a video or audio file. FastClip makes the transcript; you can leave and come back.
2. Pick the moment
Select the exact words in the transcript, or set the start and end on the timeline. You choose the moment; FastClip does not pick it for you.
3. Finish it in this style
"Use this template" sets Bold pop as your caption style. Finish the clip, choose vertical 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, then post it to Instagram or X from FastClip, or download the MP4.
How it differs from other styles
Bold pop shows only three words at a time, so it reads fast. For one huge word at a time, use One word at a time. For a calmer full line where the spoken word lights up, use Word-by-word captions.

Questions
Is this the exact Alex Hormozi caption style?
No. It is the look people mean by the name: large uppercase words, three at a time, the spoken word in yellow, no box. Edits of his videos often add emoji and other highlight colors, and the fonts vary. FastClip uses Geist SemiBold and one highlight color. FastClip is not affiliated with Alex Hormozi.
Can I change the yellow to another color?
Yes. In Settings, Captions, pick another “Spoken word color”: white, light gray, gray, yellow, green, cyan, pink or orange. “Text color” has the same choices.
Can I put the captions in the middle of the frame?
Yes. The preset puts them low in the frame, above the area that apps cover with buttons. Set the position to middle or top in Settings, Captions.
Does it work on a video podcast?
Yes. Finish the clip in vertical 9:16 and FastClip crops the frame to follow the face of the speaker, on clips of up to 5 minutes. The captions sit on top of the video.
About the example
Audio: chapter 1 of The Art of Public Speaking by Dale Carnegie and J. Berg Esenwein (1915), read by Michael Lipschultz for LibriVox, public domain. Cut, captioned and rendered by FastClip; words corrected in the captions: "and" → "in".
